![]() I'm not much of a cougar soooo although James does have all the hallmarks of a very swoon worthy character. that and the book crush I've been obsessed with for years now is none other than Mr. I loved each and every one of them! And I would have swooned more if there wasn't such an age gap between the MCs and me. The handful of Paramore relationships were dimensional and gray and each faced their own hardships before being gifted possible HEAs. I may or may not have audibly squeeeed a time or three. I also *** MILD SPOILER ALERT*** adored (to itsy bitsy smithereens) the extra chapter describing Lucy and Cordelia's ceremony!!ĪND the love matches. Those who survived and made it through to the epilogue had gratifying new chapters in their lives to look forward to. and each MC was gifted closure or at least a definitive break from a turbulent/toxic part of their past. ![]() In the end, did I feel unsated in any way? Absolutely not!! Each and every character had a detailed and full arc of their own. ![]() hour of the day or chores to be done be damned. ![]() As a lover of all things born of Cassandra Clare's beautiful mind, I ate this (audio)book up. ![]() The background building was intense and often quite surreal. It is mostly a book filled with character resolution, and I know that might sound boring but I assure you it is pure satisfaction! There wasn't a copious amount of action BUT, the action that we were gifted with was gripping, and deftly written! The stars of the show were, as usual, the Characters although the backdrop was a definite contender to share the top spot. ![]()

But the author manages these elements well. Its serial killer has abnormal, almost supernatural abilities its detectives operate openly, clandestinely, and conspiratorially and the imminent disaster goes way beyond any super-human hypnosis that internally melts its victims.ĭiane May has taken on quite a challenge by including so many incredible - incredulity producing - plot elements in her high-energy, fast-moving crime thriller with a twist. And if you limit your expectations, believing this will be your typical street-savvy re-telling of crimes and misadventure, your credibility will suffer. ![]() ![]() Simply identifying these basics, however, will limit your expectations about how these killings happen, who else happens to be detecting, and how futuristically and globally that imminent disaster looms. To say EVO by Diane May is a contemporary crime thriller is to understate a popular category to which this multi-plotted novel refuses to conform. ![]() ![]() ![]() Tolkien 2016 Wall Calendar (Art by Tove Jansson) ![]() archives used in the making of the films) Harry Potter Coloring Book (Kids Intricate line drawings from the Warner Bros. Jeez I just want this farmer family to adopt me. ![]() This book so wonderfully and beautifully explores trauma. But I do think these books can be read as standalones!!! I do think I am going to try and read the rest of the series in order because there were a few things where I was like wait what? Did I read that right that Griff is friends with his ex? And his fiancé and his ex are going into business together? Like how does that work? Basically I want more context for the series.
